Trump fires Pam Bondi as US attorney general

Bondi's ousting ends a contentious tenure as chief law enforcement officer, during which she was most notably criticized for her handling of the Epstein files. She is being replaced on an interim basis by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.
