The two bunnies were caught by the crew who kept them safe in the radio room. They were then transported by boat back to Aberdeen where they were handed to an animal rescue charity.A third bunny was later found hiding in a forklift pocket but has now been safely reunited with its siblings at the New Arc animal rescue, near Ellon. Paul Reynolds, co-manager of the rescue, said the bunnies were all doing well. They are all gaining weight and doing everything we'd expect to see with healthy wild rabbits. That includes tucking into native leafy greens and plants.Mr Reynolds said rabbits had been well looked after on board. The crew did a very good job of capturing the rabbits, getting them into a container and providing vegetables and water and it seems to have worked, he said. When they arrived they'd [the rabbits] clearly been eating and they were not particularly stressed so they did a very good job.
