Thousands of 'No Kings' protests planned across US in opposition to Iran war The 'No Kings' protest movement is planning a nationwide return on Saturday, with organisers saying more than 3,000 gatherings are scheduled across the United States in opposition to President Donald Trump. Organisers say this weekend could be among the largest days of protest in US history, with grievances ranging from Trump’s immigration policies to the war involving Iran. Major demonstrations are expected in cities including Washington, Minneapolis, Chicago and San Francisco, while Vermont, with a population of about 646,000, is expected to host more than 40 protests, according to the Burlington Free Press. The grassroots movement previously held demonstrations in June and October 2025, drawing an estimated five million and then seven million participants to thousands of events.
