Tanzania : Government pushed to repeal repressive laws from Magufuli era

The East African Court of Justice confirmed, on 27 March, a ruling rendered by the Tanzanian court of appeal in June 2025 concerning the Written Laws. This set of amendments, approved in June 2020, significantly restricted the possibilities for civil recourse against the government’s actions.
