An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale has struck Japan, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said. The epicentre of the quake was offshore in the Ryukyu Islands, at a depth of 10 kilometres and 187 kilometres from Okinawa.
