‘Sleepy country town’: Minns blasts library-like noise limits killing Sydney nightlife

NSW Premier Chris Minns has lashed out at Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore, accusing her council of turning the city into a “sleepy country town”. Ms Moore is proposing CBD noise limits up to three times stricter than state government recommendations, reducing nightlife to near library-level silence. “They’ve made a big mistake here. We’ll be looking at it closely to see what we can do to encourage nightlife,” Mr Minns said.
