KINGSTON, Jamaica — Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw’s hat-trick led Jamaica to a 4-0 win over Antigua and Barbuda in their Concacaf W Championship qualifiers Group B game played at the National Stadium on Friday.Shaw, who took her tally to 66 goals, and a second half penalty from Deneisha Blackwood, ensured Jamaica stay in the lead in the group with maximum nine points and needs only a draw against Guyana next week to top the group. It was hard work for the Girlz despite their 36 shots to Antigua and Barbuda’s zero, hitting the ‘woodwork’ four times, while the Antiguan’s goalkeeper Anik Jarvis made a series of outstanding saves.Jamaica got the break through in time added at the end of the first half when Shaw converted a penalty kick after Antigua’s Jessica Powell fouled Atlanta Primus inside the 18-yard box.Shaw doubled the margin in the 49th minute when she was picked out by a pass from Kalyssa Van Zanten, turned past her marker and left footed it low and hard pass Jarvis.Six minutes later she stooped to complete her hat- trick with a diving header, again from a pass from Van Zanten.Blackwood stepped up to convert a penalty in time added at the end of the second half after Kamiellia Hughes handled the ball in the area trying to block Blackwood’s shot.— Paul A Reid
