The seizures were part of the ongoing efforts of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) to enhance security and protect society from all types and forms of prohibited substances. ZATCA affirmed its commitment to maintaining strict customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports so as to ensure the security and protection of society, through continuous cooperation and coordination with all relevant authorities. ZATCA called on the public to participate in combating smuggling to protect society and the national economy by contacting it through the dedicated security reporting number 1910 or via email (zatca.gov.sa@1910) or the international number (009661910). Through these channels, the authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the provisions of the Unified Customs Law with complete confidentiality, and offers a financial reward to the whistleblower if the information in the given report is accurate.
