The Dutch-Belgian racer singled out journalist Giles Richards of The Guardian, who had asked him a question last year that he did not appreciate. “I’m not speaking before he’s leaving,” the Red Bull racer said of Richards, shortly before the QA was to begin. The reporter approached Verstappen’s table to plead his case, but was told to “get out.” The question Verstappen objected to was asked by Richards in December after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The Guardian journalist asked whether the four-time world champion regretted an incident earlier in the year in which he collided with another racer at the Spanish Grand Prix, resulting in a time penalty that cost him precious points. “You forget all the other stuff that happened in my season,” Verstappen answered at the time. “The only thing you mention is Barcelona.
