Protests erupt in Türkiye, Europe, Palestine over Israel’s racist execution law

Protests were held in Türkiye, Italy, the Netherlands, Syria and Palestine over Israel’s new law allowing the death penalty for Palestinian prisoners. Demonstrators chanted in support of Palestine and against Zionism during the rallies. The Israeli parliament approved a law on March 30, imposing the death penalty exclusively on Palestinian prisoners from the occupied West Bank accused of carrying out what Israel defines as “terrorist acts.” The law applies exclusively to Palestinian, prompting critics to call the law “racist” and “genocidal”.
