Pakistan urges US and Iran to uphold ceasefire, continue talks Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar urged the United States and Iran to maintain their commitment to the ceasefire and continue negotiations in a “positive spirit.” He said it is imperative for both sides to work toward “durable peace and prosperity” in the region. Dar added that Pakistan will continue to facilitate dialogue between the two sides in the coming days and expressed gratitude to both for recognising Islamabad’s role in helping secure the ceasefire.
