NC lawmaker seeks to ban books on sexuality and gender identity in elementary libraries

House majority leader Brenden Jones is looking to expand the scope of a 2023 law known as the “Parents Bill of Rights,” which already limits instruction on gender identity, sexual orientation, and sexual activity in Kindergarten through fourth grade.
