As Artemis II approaches the Moon, the NASA lunar team has finalised plans for the observations they want the astronauts to conduct during the flyby. NASA’s Dr Kelsey Young says the software will guide the crew’s observations during the several-hour flyby. “It is just a guide; they are the field scientists, and they’re encouraged to go off book if what they’re seeing in front of them really compels them,” Dr Young said.
