Scheme Supports Trade Fair Participation Under the market access component, the scheme provides assistance to individual MSEs for participation in domestic and international trade fairs and exhibitions. It also supports the organisation of trade fairs and exhibitions by the Ministry, the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), and other government organisations. In addition, the scheme facilitates Vendor Development Programmes (VDPs) to help MSMEs connect with larger buyers and expand business opportunities. Focus On Packaging, E-Commerce Adoption The capacity-building component focuses on improving competitiveness by supporting the adoption of modern packaging techniques, barcoding systems, and e-commerce platforms. The scheme also provides assistance for organising national workshops and seminars, both in physical and virtual formats, through the Ministry and the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME). Financial Aid For GI Product Retail Outlets Another key feature of the scheme is the development of retail outlets, where financial support is provided for infrastructure creation to promote products with geographical indication (GI) tags.
