Chris, Paige Deyanna Ostroshko charged with interfering w/ federally protected activity + multiple assault counts after they shoved, punched, pic.twitter.com/wII0WlsvD7— CaseyLou (@CaseyLou222) April 29, 2026 According to the New York Post: A Minnesota couple — including a dad who fancied himself “the voice of a generation” — and their daughter were hit with federal charges for allegedly assaulting a Turning Point USA reporter at an anti-ICE protest earlier this month.Christopher Ostroushko, 51, Deyanna Ostroushko, 46, and daughter Paige Ostroushko, 20, were indicted for the assault of TPUSA reporter Savannah Hernandez outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Fort Snelling, the US Department of Justice announced Wednesday.Horrifying video from the April 11 anti-ICE rally outside the Whipple building captured Christopher Ostroushko suddenly shoving Hernandez, 29, to the ground with both hands, while yelling, “Don’t f–king touch my daughter!”Per a statement from the Justice Department: “These three individuals were indicted by a grand jury for allegedly assaulting journalist and Turning Point USA contributor Savannah Hernandez, while she was lawfully reporting on anti-ICE protests outside a federal building in St. Paul,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. “Hernandez was allegedly surrounded, physically assaulted, and shoved to the ground — simply because she was identified by the defendants as a conservative journalist. That is NOT ‘peaceful protest.’ These deplorable actions as charged in the indictment will not be tolerated in America, and this Department of Justice will always punish unhinged acts of political violence.”The problem with the left is not only that they can't hash out their differences and defend their indefensible views civilly, but they also suffer from cognitive dissonance. Clearly, though, that was not good enough for this family, as they just could not control themselves. Subsequently, they physically assaulted an innocent woman, all because they heard from someone somewhere that she might hold politically incorrect views. The fact that people are this deranged is deeply unsettling. Fortunately, justice is on the way to being served. And while it is unacceptable that many journalists have to live in fear simply for doing their job, we currently have a justice system that is, at least, designed to hold people accountable when they cross the line. Just because you are upset, that does not make you factually correct or given a pass to act like an animal the moment your feelings are hurt.
