Millions of Three, EE, Vodafone, and O2 users will get a signal boost in massive free upgrade

You can now scroll, stream, and stay connected across more of the London Underground network than ever before.Transport for London (TfL) and Boldyn Networks have announced that some 60 of Underground stations now have 4G and 5G mobile coverage, with the entire network set to be fully connected by the end of 2026. All four major UK mobile operators – Three, EE, Vodafone, and Virgin Media O2 – are part of the project. It's a game-changer for the millions of people who travel beneath the streets of the Capital every day, as you'll no longer lose signal the moment you descend those escalators. You can check live travel updates on TfL Go, message friends about running late, or simply catch up on emails during your commute.Seb Dance, Deputy Mayor of London for Transport, said: It's brilliant to see this continued progress on the Mayor's promise of delivering 4G and 5G across the London Underground, with more mobile coverage for passengers across an ever-growing network of lines and stations. In an increasingly digital world, we're committed to ensuring that all Londoners and visitors have the connections they need – even whilst on the move – as we build a better London for everyone.Expanded 4G and 5G will also be coming to several new lines, such as Bakerloo, Metropolitan, District, and more.On the Bakerloo line, if you're travelling between Queen's Park and Edgware Road can now use your phone in the tunnels — not just at stations. The Metropolitan line has gained coverage between Euston Square and King's Cross St Pancras, as well as from Barbican to Moorgate.Circle and District line users are also benefiting, with new connectivity between Cannon Street and Monument, Sloane Square and Victoria, plus Bayswater and Paddington.Several busy stations have also gone live, including Vauxhall, Temple, Nine Elms, and Gloucester Road. This means commuters on these routes can finally make calls, send messages, and browse the internet without interruption as the train moves through the tunnels. Some of London's biggest transport hubs are also getting connected, though it's happening in stages.Paddington, Victoria, and King's Cross St Pancras are all beginning to receive coverage, starting with ticket halls and platforms before expanding further. These stations are so large and complex that engineers need to tackle them bit by bit.Victoria Dell, Chief Executive Officer at PaddingtonNow Business Improvement District, said: We welcome the continued rollout of 4G and 5G connectivity across the London Underground network, particularly the progress being made at Paddington station and on the lines that serve our district. For the thousands of people who travel to Paddington every day to work, visit, shop and do business, reliable mobile connectivity is increasingly essential. Improved coverage helps people stay connected, access real-time travel information, and make the most of their time while travelling. As one of London's most important transport hubs, Paddington plays a vital role in connecting businesses, residents, and visitors. This investment in digital infrastructure will enhance the experience of everyone using the area and further strengthen Paddington's position as a leading destination for business and innovation.By the end of this summer, the vast majority of the Northern, Bakerloo, and Metropolitan lines should have full tunnel coverage.LATEST DEVELOPMENTSNew Oura Ring update brings one of the Ring 5's most exciting features to Ring 4End of Freeview?
