Met Office issues 18-hour wind warning across 420-mile stretch of Britain as Easter storm looms

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather alert for wind covering 420 miles of Britain over the Easter weekend. The warning will come into force at 6pm on Saturday April 4 until 12pm on Sunday April 5. The forecaster has warned of very strong winds late on Saturday and overnight into Easter Sunday, for Scotland and the north of England.
