‘Masters of negotiation’: Iran terrorists have turned the war upside down

The Foreign Desk Editor-in-Chief Lisa Daftari has described Iran as being “very masterful at the negotiating table”. ​Ms Daftari told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power she does not envision the regime having any sort of "behavioural change” based on “pressure applied thus far”. “So it is a very difficult dance that he [Trump] is trying to play, and perhaps it would work because it is textbook foreign policy, but it works only with sane actors, rational actors. We are not dealing with a rational actor; we are dealing with a bunch of terrorists,” she said. Ms Daftari claimed Iran has “changed the arena of war from us talking about nuclear weapons, from us talking about the collection of uranium, to now talking about the Strait of Hormuz, to talking about global oil prices, to us talking about Hezbollah and what they are doing in Lebanon”. ​“They are very masterful at the negotiating table.”
