Man charged after Surrey University lecturer attacked with crossbow

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a member of staff at the University of Surrey was shot with a crossbow. Almunthir Daqamah has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, two counts of possession of a bladed article and possession of Class B drugs.The 21-year-old was arrested yesterday.Mr Daqamah, a former student at the university, has been remanded in custody to appear at Guildford Magistrates' Court.
