Malda gherao case: ISF Leader Gulam Rabbani arrested, probe underway

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made its first arrest in connection with the SIR gherao case in West Bengal’s Malda district. On Sunday, the NIA detained Gulam Rabbani, a local leader associated with the Indian Secular Front (ISF), in connection with the case. The case relates to an attack on judicial officers who were deployed in the area for work linked to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
