Major car brand unveils bold plans to launch robots and 1,500 vehicles at World Cup

Attendees of the World Cup this summer could be greeted by autonomous robots as part of a partnership with Hyundai, which promises to deliver the largest-ever mobility deployment.Hyundai has confirmed that it will deploy a fleet of 994 passenger vehicles and 506 buses at the Fifa World Cup this summer.The largest-ever deployment of mobility and robotics solutions will be seen across the United States, Canada and Mexico over the coming weeks as millions descend on North America for the tournament.Hyundai's collaboration with the World Cup will be used for transportation for national teams, officials, tournament operations and media. TRENDING Stories Videos Your Say The South Korean brand has been a partner with Fifa for 27 years and was confirmed as its Official Robotics Partner in 2023.Hyundai said it would enable seamless logistics across the tournament and showcase its large-scale mobility capabilities.It will use hybrid versions of the Palisade, Santa Fe, Tucson, Santa Cruz, Kona, Sonata, Elantra, Creta, Creta Grand and Genesis GV80.Sungwon Jee, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer, Hyundai Motor Company, praised the new partnership ahead of the tournament starting on June 11.He said: As Fifa prepares to host the largest World Cup ever - spanning three countries and 16 host cities - our 27-year partnership reflects a shared commitment to excellence, innovation and global collaboration.
