A significant number of educators are teaching children every individual has both a gender identity as well as a biological sex.In some schools, lessons include pupils reviewing fictional emails from youngsters experiencing gender distress and to later guide them on transitioning.Meanwhile, other educators outsource this type of teaching, sharing resources encouraging children as young as seven to explore their gender identity – with literature like Are You a Boy or Are You a Girl?.Another resource for older children includes a Gender Transitioning Action Plan in which students are urged to demand access to single-sex facilities and ask for a name change.Nearly a quarter of schools demand other pupils amend a child's new name and pronouns if they have decided to transition. Some 73 per cent of schools say they keep single-sex toilets and changing rooms, respectively.
