KOSME Partners With MIDC To Support Korean SMEs’ Entry Into India New Delhi, Apr 24 (KNN) The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), through its Global Business Center (GBC) in New Delhi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to support the entry and expansion of Korean small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in India.

Focus Areas of Cooperation The partnership aims to create a structured support system for Korean SMEs, particularly in Maharashtra. Key focus areas include investment promotion, workforce development, and collaboration in advanced and emerging technologies, according to ET. Strengthening Bilateral Ties The initiative aligns with India’s industrial push under Make in India and reflects growing opportunities in manufacturing and global supply chains. KOSME has been supporting Korean firms through its India operations, including in Pune. The collaboration with MIDC is expected to strengthen this support by leveraging local infrastructure and institutional networks. KOSME said the agreement will act as a “strategic bridgehead” to accelerate Korean SME investments in India. The partnership is also expected to boost collaboration in manufacturing, digital transformation, and startup ecosystems, further deepening Korea–India economic ties. (KNN Bureau)
