Kishane Thompson, Tina Clayton and Shericka Jackson for Florida meet

KINGSTON, Jamaica—World Athletics Championships medallists Kishane Thompson and Tina Clayton are down to contest the seldom-run 150m at Saturday’s Miramar Invitational at the Ansin Sports Complex in Hollywood, Florida.Nearly 30 Jamaican athletes are scheduled to compete at the event, which is a World Athletics Continental Tour-silver.Thompson, who won a silver medal in the men’s 60m at the recent World Athletics Indoor Championships in Poland, is down to contest the men’s 150m race along with Gary Card, Adrian Kerr and Javari Thomas.Tina, along with her twin sister Tia are set for the women’s equivalent, along with Briana Williams.Ackeem Blake, a semi-finalist in the men’s 60m at the World Indoor Championships, is one of seven men who are scheduled for the 100m that will be run in two rounds, a preliminary, after which the top eight on times will advance to the final.Nishion Ebanks, Ryiem Forde, Rasheed Foster, Rohan Watson, Michael Campbell and Andre Edwards are also expected to line up.World Athletics Under-20 gold medallist Alana Reid will contest the women’s 100m along with Jodean Williams, Natasha Morrison, Serena Cole, Lavanya Williams and Yanique Dale.World Championship gold medallist Shericka Jackson is set to contest the women’s 300m along with Joanne Reid and Shanna Kaye Anderson, while Zandrion Barnes will contest the men’s race.Two-time World Under- 20 gold medallist Kerrica Hill and Demisha Roswell are down for the 100m hurdles event, with De’jour Russell and Lafrantz Campbell set for the 110m hurdles event.
