KINGSTON, Jamaica— A Kingston man has been charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, assault at common law, and making use of a firearm to commit a felony following an incident in his community on Thursday, April 2.He has been identified as 27-year-old Kemo Daley of Chestnut Lane, Kingston 14.According to reports from the Denham Town police, at approximately 4:35 pm, Daley was involved in a physical altercation with a woman.

During the dispute, he allegedly removed a firearm from his waistband and pointed it at her while issuing threats to shoot her. Fearing for her life, the woman left the scene and promptly reported the matter to the police.Daley was subsequently apprehended and taken into custody.Charges were formally laid against him based on a statement provided.His court date is being finalised.
