TRENDING Stories Videos Your Say Let's be frank, this is not an isolated incident. There have been a series of antisemitic attacks, and I know firsthand the anxiety that is causing in the community, and concern.Criticising the statement, Mrs Braverman took aim at the Prime Minister's meaningless words and declared we need action. She told GB News: We've had years of platitudes, meaningless words and fatuous tweets from those in charge, and when I tell you about those in charge, I talk about this current Labour Government and the previous Conservative Government. This started many years ago, and we've not seen any meaningful action which displays any real commitment to tackling this problem. The Government are gaslighting the British people and importantly, the Jewish community.Asked by host Ellie Costello what action needs to be taken, the Reform MP made clear that the Government needs to proscribe the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) as soon as possible. She said: This Government is continuing to refuse to proscribe the IRGC. This Government has gone a little bit further than the last one, its actually promised to do so, but this promise is wearing thin as it made it before the last general election. It should have been done by now. The IRGC is often the root cause of this kind of thuggery, harassment and violence that we see on the British streets.Mrs Braverman also called for other Islamist groups as well as hate marches across the country to be banned.LATEST DEVELOPMENTSIsrael demands Keir Starmer protects England's Jews - as protesters brand PM 'Jew harmer'Met Police confirm Golders Green terror suspect is 'British national born in Somalia'Met Police release bodycam footage of Golders Green terror attack suspect arrestShe made clear: We need to proscribe the Muslim Brotherhood, another Islamist group that is often linked to many of these attacks targeted at the Jewish community. And importantly, we need to ban the hate marches. There has been an extreme indulgence of antisemitism and extremism on our streets. It has to end.Mrs Braverman warned that such marches spill into antisemitism far too quickly: That's when the police should have stepped in, but it also goes beyond the streets and public order, and I should just say we've seen on occasion, hundreds of thousands of people take to the streets behaving in this way with the police standing meekly by, arresting after the event in a very ineffective way. It's just been a very half-hearted response to those pro-Palestinian marches, because ultimately, Sir Mark Rowley and Sadiq Khan don't want to upset certain communities in London, but it goes beyond the streets of Britain.Mrs Braverman concluded: We've seen antisemitism spill out of control in the workplace, in the NHS, in schools, on campus, in universities, in the BBC dare I say - and yet it all goes unsanctioned without any consequence. People shrug their shoulders, they condemn, they might say something critical, but no action is actually taken to remedy this crisis.A 45-year-old man, a British national born in Somalia, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the double stabbing, which has been confirmed as a terror attack by police. One man in his 70s and another in his 30s were taken to hospital with stab wounds and are now in a stable condition after the attack on Wednesday afternoon.
