One traveller who witnessed the chaotic scenes unfold told The Sun: “The drunk bloke was rowing with his partner in front of his kids, and threatening to punch her.“It was upsetting and begs the question how on earth were they allowed to board the plane and put the flight and other passengers at risk.”Another described it to the newspaper as the ultimate flight from hell.They claimed the carnage began when the couple were heard shouting at each other at the departure gate, as well as heavily drinking. The source added: “The yob was screaming at passengers and crew and making threats. It was alarming and terrifying at 30,000 feet with nowhere to turn.In a statement, Jet2 said: “Flight LS3110 from Antalya to London Gatwick diverted to Sofia yesterday – Monday 27th April – so that police could offload two disruptive passengers.“As a family-friendly airline we take a zero-tolerance approach to disruptive passenger behaviour, and we can confirm that we have banned these two passengers from flying with us for life.“We will vigorously pursue them to recover any losses that we incurred as a result of their behaviour – and we will not hesitate to use the courts.“We will fully support the police with any subsequent investigations.
