Azura Financial Director Tom Hawley believes auction clearance rates declining is really “worse than people think”. Auction clearance rates currently remain below 60 per cent across the country for the seventh straight week. Mr Hawley told Sky News Australia the recent figures are really from sales much earlier in the year as it takes a “couple of months for the data to actually flow through, that was also before any of these tax changes were announced”. “I think it’s going to come through quite a bit worse than people think.”
