Israeli lawmaker pushes bill to scrap Oslo Accords entirely Far-right Israeli lawmaker Limor Son Har-Melech said a bill she is sponsoring to scrap the Oslo Accords would be reviewed on Sunday by Israel’s Ministerial Committee for Legislation. In a post on X, Son Har-Melech described the proposal as a “first and necessary” step towards preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The Oslo Accords, signed between Israeli and Palestinian leaders in 1993 and 1995, established mutual recognition between the two sides and created limited Palestinian self-rule in Gaza and parts of the occupied West Bank. The agreements divided the West Bank into Areas A, B and C, with varying levels of Palestinian and Israeli control. Son Har-Melech said her bill would also encourage the expansion of Israeli settlements in Areas A and B.
