Israel Deepens Lebanon Offensive, Captures Strategic Beaufort Castle

Israel has intensified its military offensive in Lebanon, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordering troops to push deeper into the country. Heavy air strikes have hit residential neighborhoods in the southern city of Tyre, while Lebanon's Health Ministry says an attack near a hospital injured medical staff. New displacement orders have also been issued across parts of southern Lebanon. Israeli forces have captured Beaufort Castle, a strategic hilltop fortress overlooking the Litani River Valley. The UNESCO-protected site was previously occupied by Israel until its withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000. Lebanese officials say hundreds of square kilometres of territory are now under Israeli control, marking the deepest Israeli advance into Lebanon in more than 25 years. As fighting intensifies, concerns are growing over civilian casualties, mass displacement and the possibility of a prolonged Israeli presence inside Lebanon.
