Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern warning of a “massive strike” against US facilities in the Middle East following recent US naval interventions. The threat comes after a US F/A-18 Super Hornet disabled two Iranian-flagged tankers attempting to breach a blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. While the IRGC claims its missiles and drones are “aimed at the enemy,” the escalation threatens to derail a US-mediated 14-point peace memorandum intended to initiate diplomatic talks in Islamabad next week.
