Former US Navy SEAL Jonathan Gilliam has discussed the contrasting statements from Iranian officials and examined US President Donald Trump’s long-term strategy regarding Iran. “You can tell by the verbiage of the Iranians that they are in somewhat of a panic mode, they’re trying to maneuver and make themselves sound more powerful than they are,” Mr Gilliam told Sky News Australia.
“At the same time, they try to make themselves sound like victims as well. “As long as the President can determine their capabilities and hold that area and still hold that oil hostage, I mean, if they are not able to pump out enough oil, eventually those oil wells will go bad and that will be the end of their economy.”
