The International Olympic Committee is banning transgender women athletes from competing in women's events at the Olympics. The new eligibility policy aligns with an executive order from US President Donald Trump on sports ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles games. International Olympic Committee President Kirsty Coventry says it would “not be fair” for biological males to compete in the female category.
