India protests after ships attacked in Strait of Hormuz

New Delhi summoned Iran’s ambassador, Mohammad Fathali, for urgent talks with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. During the meeting, Misri conveyed India’s “deep concern” over the shooting involving the two ships and pressed Tehran to act. He urged the ambassador to relay India’s position to Iranian authorities and to “resume at the earliest the process of facilitating India-bound ships across the Strait.”
