House vote rejects DHS funding bill: Mike Johnson reaction to Senate deal, government shutdown

House Speaker Mike Johnson spoke to reporters on Friday, March 27, after the House of Representatives voted to reject a bill that would fund the Department of Homeland Security and put an end to the partial government shutdown affecting TSA workers. The Senate voted unanimously to approve a compromise that would fund most of the DHS – except for Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
