Did you think they were giving up? He tells the truth. Well, except for the fact that he’s calling it “Social Security personal accounts” as if that’s some kind of government program. It’s actually just a personal account that will grow to an amount that by the time the babies are old people will support them for a year or two. Maybe. I have no doubt they will make that money available for all kinds of things so that when the babies get old there will be nothing left.
Because Republicans hate social security and want to destroy it, believing that if you get old and don’t have enough money to live you are a loser and deserve to die in the street. That’s just how they are.
