Jesus paints a vivid picture of final judgment. “At the end of everything, there's this moment where all of humanity stands before God. “The shepherd separates sheep from goats, something his listeners back then would have seen all of the time, sheep on one side, goats on the other. “But this isn't actually about animals. It's about people and how they have lived. “The surprising part is the reason for the separation. It's not about success or popularity, or even how religious or spiritual someone appears to be. “Instead, Jesus says, ‘Did you help people who were struggling? Did you notice those who were overlooked? Did you act when someone was hungry, lonely, or in need? “The sheep did these things. The goats didn't. And Jesus adds, whatever you did for the least of these, you did it for me. “In other words, how you treat people, especially the vulnerable, is how you're responding to God. Those welcomed into the kingdom of God are commended not for grand achievements, but for simple, compassionate acts. “Feeding the hungry, welcoming the stranger, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and imprisoned. This passage teaches us that our love for God is revealed in how we treat others, and it removes any illusion that faith is only about beliefs or private spirituality. “This teaching invites reflection. Where do we encounter the least of these in our daily lives? It may not look dramatic. It might be a struggling colleague, a lonely neighbour, or someone quietly in need. “The heart of this passage is not fear, but an invitation. Jesus is showing us that every act of mercy matters. Small, faithful acts of love are seen, valued, and remembered by God.”WATCH THE FULL REFLECTION ABOVE Our Standards: The GB News Editorial Charter
