In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remember Jesus’s words of reassurance and belonging. “John 142 says, in my father's house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you so. “When Jesus speaks of my father's house, it's a phrase his listeners would recognise as often referred to in the Temple in Jerusalem, a place of worship and the presence of God, a meeting with God, a sacred space, and at the centre of their life and faith.
“But here, on that night before his crucifixion, Jesus expands the meaning. My father's house is no longer only a building. It's become something far greater. “A dwelling place not made with stone, but prepared by him. He says, I go to prepare a place for you. These are words of reassurance, not just about a future destination, but about belonging. “As Saint Augustine once wrote, you have made us for yourself, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you. “The house where that rest is found. The promise is not simply of a space, but of a welcome. “A home with many mansions, room enough for all.
