Full Pentagon briefing on Iran: 'Regime change has occurred', Hegseth says

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said “regime change has occurred” in Iran. “This new regime, because regime change has occurred, should be wiser than the last,” Hegseth said. “President Trump will make a deal. He is willing, and the terms of the deal are known to them.” But if Iran is not willing to abide by those terms, Hegseth added, the US military “will continue with even more intensity.” Hegseth’s comments during a Pentagon press briefing echo a statement made by President Donald Trump on Sunday.
