From lost and found items to accident reports, 'On-the-Go' brings police services to gas stations

The initiative is designed to allow customers to access police services anytime and anywhere, while also helping reduce waiting times and visits to police stations.Captain Majid bin Saed Al Kaabi, Head of the 'On-the-Go' initiative team, said the project reflects Dubai Police’s focus on delivering innovative services that improve community happiness and reinforce safety and security.According to Dubai Police, the initiative has already benefited 7,762 people through eight services offered in partnership with Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat).Among the most-used services were:3,981 minor traffic accident reports filed at 158 petrol stations across Dubai1,375 reports against unknown parties2,013 lost-and-found reports296 reports submitted through the Police Eye service97 cybercrime reports filed through the E-Crime platformDubai Police also said 23,816 individuals from various entities were trained to help assist customers using the services.The forum included workshops on traffic laws, road safety, community volunteering and the initiative’s role in reducing bureaucracy and improving public access to police services.Dubai Police said the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to reduce physical visits to service centres and eventually transition towards visitor-free centres, while maintaining faster service delivery and smoother traffic flow across the emirate.
