Former Wake Forest public works director arrested, charged after shooting

According to a spokesperson for the town, the shooting happened around 1 p.m. at a home on Perini Court. When police arrived, they found a man outside with a gunshot wound in his foot. When they offered to take the man to the hospital, he refused.
