Fix for what ails Tahoe is costly, lawmakers learn

Preserving Lake Tahoe’s clear, blue water depends in large part on reducing vehicle travel. The basin, however, lacks reliable and efficient transit for residents, tourists, and commerce, and a funding source to fix it, say experts who testified Friday before the Nevada Legislative Committee for Review and Oversight of the Lake Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.
