FBI confirms hack of Kash Patel’s personal email by Iranian-linked group

The FBI has confirmed Iranian-linked hackers have accessed the personal emails of Director Kash Patel. The group, known as the Handala Hack Team, published multiple historic photos of Mr Patel online. The bureau says no government information was taken and is moving to mitigate possible risks linked to the breach. Handala claims to be a group of pro-Palestine vigilante hackers. However, researchers believe it is one of several personas being adopted by cyber intelligence units from the Iranian government.
