Essex coach depot engulfed in flames with 36 destoyed in 'Britain's worst ever bus fire'

An Essex bus depot has been engulfed in flames with the blaze destroying approximately 36 buses. This is thought to be one of the worst bus fires in British history.Firefighters have been tackling the enormous blaze at Chadwell St Marys, near Grays since 6pm this evening.Images from the scene show the bus storage depot ablaze with black smoke billowing into the sky. The fire service wrote on Facebook earlier this evening: We are currently at the scene of a large fire in Chadwell St Mary.Firefighters are tackling a fire involving 12 double decker buses at a storage yard.Members of the public commented on the post, with one man saying he could see the smoke from the M11 Loughton, which is roughly 30 miles apart.The Essex fire service confirmed an investigation is underway to understand the cause of the fire.
