Erika Kirk 'disappoints' wannabe tradwives as she flees event after just minutes: report

Erika Kirk spent less than 20 minutes at Turning Point USA's Women’s Leadership Summit — a three-day event where hopeful tradwives gathered to learn how to land a husband and start a family, according to a report from The Daily Mail on Wednesday. The quick appearance from Kirk, the wife of former Turning Point leader Charlie Kirk, left many attendees at the San Antonio, Texas conference disheartened, reported Susan Greene, U.S. senior reporter for The Mail. Greene attended the gathering and said it was a more somber affair than in the past following Charlie Kirk's assassination in September 2025.And those hoping to rub shoulders with Erika Kirk, the 37-year-old tradwidow heroine of the group, were only left disappointed, Greene wrote.Erika Kirk kept a low profile, Greene explained. Without her signature tear-dabbing or the pyrotechnics that marked her appearance at her late-husband’s memorial service, the mother-of-two spoke for just 17 minutes at the beginning of the summit on Friday before disappearing for all of the VIP meet-and-greets or public events that followed, Greene wrote.She was apparently interrupted by a heckler who shouted Erika Kirk protects pedophiles.The brevity of her appearance was widely assumed to stem from security concerns, as well as her desire to be at home with her two fatherless young children, Greene wrote.Erika Kirk kept her message for the more than 2,000 women in the crowd focused on faith and the vibe was more like a beauty pageant and sorority sleepover.The new TPUSA leader told the crowd that Christian faith, family, marriage and motherhood should take precedence over modern feminist ideals, Greene wrote.'At its core, feminism is a worldview that treats many of the things that make women uniquely women as obstacles ... rather than divine gifts,' she said during her brief remarks, Greene added. The event has been criticized for its focus on submission and participants were encouraged to view a Pinterest look-book before they arrived so they could sport demure business casual attire, Greene wrote.TPUSA’s annual conference – the largest young conservative women’s event in the country – was less the political powwow I expected than a bootcamp for young women seeking lives as traditional wives, stay-at-home moms and homemakers, Greene added.
