Drought likely in July, August: Met. Department

Claiming that the El Niño phenomenon and positive Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) phenomenon are likely after June, Additional Director General of the Department of Meteorology Ajith Wijemanne yesterday warned that Sri Lanka could face a drought situation in July and August if El Niño and IOD phenomenon got activated.
