Democrats to try limiting Trump Iran war powers during House pro forma session

Democrats will attempt to pass a resolution to limit President Trump’s war powers in Iran by unanimous consent during a pro forma session of the House on Thursday. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) announced the plan in a letter to colleagues on Wednesday while criticizing Trump’s management of the conflict and the ceasefire deal announced Tuesday.
