Astronomer Fred Watson says “it is all about velocity” for the space centre to get the Artemis II trajectory spot on. “The critical part of that is at the end when you re-enter directly into the earth’s atmosphere at a speed of about 11 kilometres per second,” Mr Watson told Sky News host Steve Price. “That’s where you’ve got to get everything right, so it comes down on the right place on the earth’s surface.”
