Cost of living surge as prices rise on health, power and mortgages

A number of everyday services will see price increases, such as private health insurance, electricity prices, mortgages, and even some road tolls, adding to the cost-of-living crisis. From April 1, the 50 per cent reduction in the fuel excise comes into play, which means on average prices will be 26 cents cheaper. Public transport across a number of states remains free or discounted amid the fuel crisis.
