Class-action lawsuit filed against Iowa maker of ignition interlock devices

An Iowa-based company that makes ignition interlock devices for people with drunken-driving convictions is facing a potential class-action lawsuit alleging widespread product failure triggered by a cyberattack. Derrick Curry of Worth, Illinois, is suing Consumer Safety Technology, an Urbandale corporation that does business as Intoxalock, in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa.
